Opal's Radiance

This Illustration is of a fetus in a diamond. The color scheme is a monochromatic grayscale to define the diamond against the ultrasound of the baby. My placement of specific shapes and values toward the center of the piece was intentionally used to prevent a muted look since both references were black and white.

I feel this is the most polished illustration of my portfolio. While the diamond may not have directly inspired the baby's name, "Opal," my creativity somehow matched up to what the mother chose; I’m extremely happy with the coincidence.
